01 / Melee

Pressure before statistics

Melee weapons are the direct-pressure layer of the arsenal. The useful confirmed relationship is not a damage number; it is the connection between sustained pressure, posture breaks, critical strikes, and executions. That gives players a systems framework without pretending a pre-release screenshot proves a named move set.

A future weapon entry needs more than an image. It should have a verified name, category, supported effect or move information, upgrade context, and a reliable acquisition source. Until those fields exist, the melee section remains a doctrine rather than a padded list.

02 / Sidearms

A second tool inside the exchange

Sidearms are explicitly part of the combat system. Their confirmed value is breadth: they add another tool to an exchange that is otherwise driven by melee pressure and posture. The current sources do not establish a named sidearm roster, ammunition model, range table, or upgrade tree.

Keeping the description at the system level avoids a common pre-release error: converting a visible object into a complete item record. The page can explain the role now and later add exact equipment only when names and functions are first-party facts.

03 / Progression

Weapon upgrades

Weapon upgrades are confirmed, which means equipment is not static across the campaign. The supported record does not yet describe materials, costs, tiers, vendors, or numerical gains. Those fields stay absent instead of being borrowed from the first Mortal Shell or inferred from genre conventions.

This boundary also protects future comparisons. Once multiple named weapons and upgrade paths are documented, the wiki can compare verified fields directly. Before that point, a short accurate system reference is more useful than an artificial tier list.
